Dr. Arthur Bruce (Art) has enjoyed serving the dental needs of his patients in the Upstate of South Carolina since 1977. He is dedicated to offering high quality family and cosmetic dentistry in a warm and caring environment. He welcomes all new patients who are looking for a gentle, friendly dentist who uses the latest dental technology.
Dr. Bruce is a native of Anderson, S.C. where he graduated from T.L. Hanna High School, and later got his B.S. in Zoology from nearby Clemson University. He graduated in 1977 from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, S.C.
In 1977 he started his practice from "scratch" in historic Pendleton, S.C. The Lord blessed him with many wonderful patients and families. In 2005, after having outgrown his original office, he built a beautiful new "state of the art" facility one block from his old office.
Dr. Bruce is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Tri-County Dental Society, and is on staff at AnMed Hospital in Anderson, S.C. A member of the South Carolina State Board of Dentistry from 2011 through 2017, Dr. Bruce served as President of the State Board in 2017. Dr. Bruce enjoys staying current on all
the latest techniques in dentistry. He has completed extensive training in Oral Conscious Sedation and is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS).
Dr. Bruce is a member of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson, where he serves as a deacon. He has gone on several Christian Medical/Dental mission trips to Honduras, Haiti, and the Ukraine. In his spare time he enjoys working out, swimming, and attending Clemson athletic events. He especially likes spending time with his wife, Kathy, and family, including 3 children, 2 in-laws, 3 beautiful granddaughters and 3 handsome grandsons.
Dr. Jay Bruce is glad to be practicing in the Upstate of South Carolina where he grew up. He welcomes all new patients who need a caring dental home.
Dr. Bruce, a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, S.C., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Clemson University. In May 2008 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. During his time in dental school Dr. Bruce served on the National Board of Trustees for the American Student Dental Association, a division of the American Dental Association.
Following dental school Dr. Bruce completed an Advanced Education for General Dentistry Residency at the Baylor College of Dentistry at the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Jay Bruce is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Bruce enjoys taking continuing education courses to stay current on all the latest dental techniques.
Dr. Jay Bruce has served on Christian Medical/Dental Mission Trips to Haiti, Honduras, and the Ukraine. In his off time he enjoys Clemson sports and spending time with his wife, Amy, and their three children. They are members of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson where Dr. Bruce serves as a deacon.

Shelley Brown
Treatment and Financial Coordinator
Shelley received her dental assisting training at Tri-County Technical College. She started working for the practice in 1999 as a dental assistant and came back later to work for Dr. Bruce in the front office. She uses her knowledge of dentistry to help our patients decide on their treatment, understand their insurance and financing, and to help them achieve a beautiful smile. Shelley appreciates the great friendships she has made with patients and co-workers.
Away from the office, Shelley enjoys time with her family, traveling, gardening, and hiking.
Amanda Dorn
Dental Assistant/Front office
Amanda received her dental assistant training at Tri-County Technical College. She has been working as a dental assistant since 1995. Amanda enjoys meeting new patients and being a positive encouragement to them. She loves seeing patients leave with a confident and beautiful smile.
In her off time, Amanda likes hiking, camping, and spending time with her family and pets.
Patricia Tompkins
Registered Dental Hygienist
Patricia has worked for the practice since 1996. She received her training as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Greenville Technical College.
Patricia loves to spend one-on-one time with her patients. That gives her a chance to make a positive impact on their oral health. From helping anxious patients relax, to building a foundation of trust and friendship, she feels privileged to be a part of her patients' lives.
After work, Patricia likes spending time with her family and her dog, Benny. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her friends at her Saturday morning Bible study.
Holly Anderson
Registered Dental Hygienist
Holly has worked as a hygienist for the practice since 2004. She received her RDH training at Chattanooga Technical College.
Holly fills the office with laughter. She enjoys meeting new people and catching up with her patients during their hygiene appointments. Holly enjoys answering patient questions and concerns, instructing the patient in proper oral care, and she gets excited to see improvement in their oral health.
In her off time, Holly enjoys spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Amy Fordree
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy is originally from Greenville, SC and currently resides in Six Mile. She has two grown daughters. Amy went to the University of South Carolina and finished her study of Dental Hygiene at Greenville Tech in 1993. You can usually find Amy on Lake Hartwell on the weekends in the summer and winter either enjoying the view from her porch or cruising around on the boat.
Amy loves to travel. Her "go to" place is San Pedro, Belize. She has met many locals in the past 10 years which is why she calls it her home away from home. In San Pedro, she does a lot of snorkeling, fishing, and exploring the island. Most of all, Amy loves spending time with her family and friends.

Dental Assistant
Ann has the gift of helping her patients feel comfortable when they feel anxious. She has an outgoing personality and a happy demeanor that puts everyone at ease. She enjoys making friends and helping her patients achieve a beautiful, comfortable smile. She loves her relationships with her coworkers, too.
Ann has worked for the team since 2004. She received her dental assisting training at Tri-County Technical College.
After work, Ann enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 6 grandchildren.
Shannon Hargrove
Dental Assistant
Shannon received her dental assistant training at Florence-Darlington Technical College. She has worked for the practice since 2018. Her favorite part of her job is making new friends and seeing the patient's excitement when they see their beautiful dental work.
After her work at our dental office, Shannon and her husband pastor the Greater Life Worship Center in Seneca, S.C. She has 3 beautiful children-Tori, Austin, and David. Shannon loves working at her church, serving others, and spending time with her family.

Jenny Lathrop
On November 2, 2022, Jenny Lathrop, our “Friday hygienist” for almost 20 years, went home to be with the Lord. She was a such a blessing to so many people, and we were so privileged to have her as a member of our work family. While we mourn her passing, we rejoice for her homecoming, and we cherish our memories with her.
